The air flow meter (AFM) is an important part of your engine. However, they are prone to wearing out after many years of driving. If the carbon strip of your AFM look like the picture above, it’s definitely time to have it serviced. With this refurbishment we replace the internal electronics of the air flow meter with a contact-less, digital solution that should last forever. No more rough driving, stalling, or loss of power because your air flow meter has worn out.
This is a refurbishment service, not a product. You have to send in your old air flow meter to have it serviced. Details on how and where to send your AFM are provided after you complete the order.
We can service the following AFMs out of the box for Volkswagen T3 vans:
- Bosch 0-280-200-038 for 1.9 liter boxer engine
- Bosch 0-280-202-079 (Volkswagen 025-906-301-C) for 2.1/2.5 liter boxer engine

NOTE 2: as the refurbishment of your AFM cannot be undone, we do not accept returns unless there is a defect. When ordering, you waive the right for a refund within 14 days of purchase.
All air flow meters are checked, cleaned and sandblasted. New electronics are placed inside and the AFM is recalibrated if necessary. You may receive a different AFM than the one you sent in, as we have a few on stock and this makes for a quick turn around. Should you want to get your original AFM back, make a note with your order but delivery may take several weeks instead of days.
We can also provide a new 3D printed cap if the old one is broken or missing, for a small extra fee.
